Dermal Fillers

At Dr. Grant Hamlet, we offer advanced dermal filler treatments designed to smooth wrinkles, restore lost volume, and enhance natural contours. These safe, effective injectables provide quick rejuvenation with natural-looking results, helping patients achieve a fresher, more youthful appearance without surgery.

Introduction to Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are a quick, convenient, and highly effective way to refresh your appearance without the downtime of surgery. These injectable treatments deliver immediate results, helping to smooth deep lines, restore lost volume, and revitalise the face with minimal risk and no recovery period required.

As we age, the skin naturally loses volume and elasticity, leading to sunken cheeks, sharper features, and pronounced creases around the nose and mouth. Dermal fillers work to counteract these changes, restoring fullness and creating a softer, more youthful look. By replenishing volume and enhancing facial contours, they provide patients with natural-looking rejuvenation and renewed confidence.

Your Consultation

Your consultation will be a wonderful way for you and Dr. Hamlet to get to know each other, and discuss your personal aesthetic goals. Dr Hamlet takes a customised approach to all aesthetic procedures.

Before your consultation, please be prepared to share the following:

  • Any medical conditions or treatments or drug allergies.
  • Current medications, herbal supplements, vitamins, alcohol, tobacco, and drug use.
  • Previous surgeries.

During your personal consultation with Dr. Hamlet, you will be able to go over problematic areas and aging symptoms that concern you. Dr. Hamlet will then guide you through the various types of fillers offered by the Clinic and will determine which one will best fit your goals and expectations.

Patients are also encouraged to disclose any health and medical issues you may have. We are here to help you achieve your goals in a safe and effective manner.

The Dermal Filler Procedure

Before your breast implant revision surgery, Dr. Hamlet may ask you to do the following:

  • Stop smoking.
  • Get a medical evaluation and lab testing.
  • Cease taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory meds, herbal supplements, or other medications that have the potential to increase bleeding.

A dermal filler treatment is a simple process, but requires expert technique and an artistic eye to achieve natural-looking results.

Injection technique and injection location can make huge differences in your final results. For example, dermal fillers such as Juvederm and Sculptra tend to produce the best results using a cross-hatch injection pattern for improved distribution and balanced volume.

The injection process itself can take as little as fifteen minutes or longer if a patient requests a topical numbing agent. One the injection process is complete, you may be given an ice back to ease discomfort and swelling. Patients can immediately return to light normal activity as soon as their treatment is complete.

Types of Dermal Fillers

Not all dermal fillers are created equal and the type of dermal filler used for a treatment depends on the symptom being addressed and the specifics of the patient’s anatomy. There is a wide selection of dermal fillers to choose from, each with a unique set of characteristics and benefits. There is no “perfect” dermal filler, but rather ideal dermal fillers better suited for different needs. With Dr. Grant Hamlet, we are pleased to offer the following types of dermal fillers:

Juvederm

Juvederm is a non-surgical treatment that provides up to a year of correction for lost facial volume. The Juvederm brand comes in a variety of type, but each is based on the main active ingredient hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the human body and is a molecule known for its ability to retain moisture and trigger localized collagen production in the skin. Hyaluronic acid is well-suited as a volumizing agent because it poses the minimal allergic risk and produces natural-looking, long-lasting results.

Juvederm treatment requires no downtime and patients can immediately return to their normal daily routine.

Voluma

Voluma, also in the Juvederm family, is another dermal filler designed specifically for aging symptoms of the mid-face area. This filler adds volume to the cheeks and addresses wider, sunken areas. Voluma has long-lasting results, which typically last between nine months to a year.

Volbella

Volbella is one of the latest offerings from the Juvederm line and is a dermal filler specified for lip augmentation and rejuvenation. This filler is meant to minimize and diminish the small, vertical fine lines and wrinkles around the lips. The composition of Volbella is well-suited for gentler volumization and excels at fine detail volumizing.

Sculptra

Sculptra injections are made from injectable poly-L-lactic acid for correction of nasolabial fold and deep facial wrinkles. The active ingredients in Sculptra are unique because they can accomplish both immediate improvement and long-term rejuvenation. Sculptra’s molecules trigger the renewed production of collagen, a vital building block of healthy, youthful skin. Sculptra has in use worldwide since 1999 and has delivered effective results for patients around the world.

Recovery

Recovery from any procedure depends on the duration and extent of the surgery and the health of the patient. Be sure to ask Dr. Hamlet any questions regarding post-op procedures, dressings/bandages, stitches, medications, follow-up care, and when you can resume normal activities. He’ll be happy to make sure that you have all the information you need.

On average, patients are allowed to return to work almost immediately after the procedure and may continue their daily return. However, we do advise that any heavy lifting or strenuous workout be avoided for the first 3 days, just to allow your body the time and energy to heal at its own pace.

We will track your recovery progress to ensure that you are free of any complications or severe side effects. Swelling and some mild bruising can be expected but should disappear in a few days.

With Dr. Grant Hamlet, our treatment and care do not end with your procedure. Our staff is at your service to answer any questions or concerns and guide you through aftercare. Our goal is to ensure that you’re satisfied with your treatment and are recovering comfortably. We can’t wait to see the new you.

Results

Dr. Hamlet will advise you on what results to expect with the chosen treatment. Some results are immediately visible, while others take some time to fully appear. Some other factors such as the age of the client, the severity of treatment, type of dermal filler performed, and previous health issues may plate into recovery time and effectiveness.

Dr. Hamlet and his staff with Dr. Grant Hamlet pride themselves on results and patient satisfaction. We want to ensure that every procedure we perform ends with better than expected results and that every patient is happy and ready to continue their life, with the way they’ve always dreamed of.

Pricing

The price of a breast revision procedure hinges on several factors, including the scope of the surgery and the end goals of the patient. Dr Hamlet will explain the costs involved in a revision treatment during your consultation. We offer several payment options and credit plans to suit your budgetary concerns. Cost should never prevent quality care, so please do not hesitate to contact Dr. Grant Hamlet and get the conversation started.
